Elizabeth “Biz” Tyson brings over 20 years of legal experience to her clients, blending deep public sector insight with a practical, client-focused approach. Her career spans from the halls of federal agencies to private practice, where she’s known for her ability to untangle complex legal and policy issues and provide clear, strategic guidance.
 
Before transitioning to private practice, Biz spent more than 15 years in federal service, holding legal roles at the Offices of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Defense, and the National Science Foundation. She also served as a detailee to the U.S. House Appropriations Committee, where she worked closely with Congress to help shape funding legislation for critical government programs. These experiences gave her a deep understanding of how laws and policies are crafted—and how they affect people and businesses in real life.
 
Biz began her legal career as a paralegal at a major international law firm, supporting high-profile government contract litigation.
